Winner of the 2009 US Masters National Championship, Michael Onkels is a top national class cyclist with the Sho-Air/Sonance squad in Los Angeles he has raced in over 35 states and throughout Central America.

Growing up in Minnesota Dr. Onkels enjoyed the seasons. Minnesota is a medley of activities and Dr. Onkels spent time cycling, hiking, cross country skiing, and ice skating.

But his love was for cycling. After a few brushes with Tour de France champion Greg Lemond he was determined to improve his racing abilities. Moving to California ten years ago he was able to enjoy the local mountains of southern California year round.
